Studio Reflect 1: 15/02/19

Me, cameron, jacob and brandon was in the studio to start for our first studio session. We managed to do most of the work. however for this session (seeing as we had 2 or 3) we decided to focus on the sound effects.

Water effect

we used a water effect we had a big bucket of water and we splashed our hands around it to create a wave audio effect.

Screams effect

this is quite self explanatory. i simply just screamed down the microphone.

Walking effect

We had a big plank of wood were we just started walking on it

Bird sound effects

Brandon just made a very odd noise

Burgers falling effect

jacob was tapping on random things around the rooms like desks keyboard etc so the drops would go all around you can tap multiple times.

overall we managed to do all the sound effects. we had to do ALOT of retakes due to messing up a few times or forgetting the motion were doing for the water. Maybe working that around film in 30 seconds each time instead of trying to do it all in one go.

Second recording session 15/02/19

The second recording session we got we thought it was a good idea to try and do all the scripts for it. We already had the  sound effects so it was just the talking to do.

Sam – Jacob was sam. because we had no girls to voice over a girl Jacob mocked a female voice and went high pitched.

Jacob had to redo a lot of the lines because there was some really long words in the script and we could say it all at once

Steve – Cameron done Steve. Steve was the monkey so he didn’t really say much. He said said a few words

there wasn’t any problems doing this however we forgot we didnt start recording so we then had to re record it.

Flint – Oscar (me) was Flint. he had a lot of lines to do but they were basic works and quite slow words compared to sam so i did it all in about 2-3 goes on 45 second intervals

editing 17/02/19

the editing wernt too bad. the first thing i came across was how we had 2 different versions of audition so we had to convert the newer one to drop to the lower one and then merge the 2 into 1.

so now from this photo you can see we have everything in one audition program so far. There’s now much that needs changing due to the fact how the voices are already every equaled. the only thing i really needed to do was change the voice so it sounded like it was underwater halfway through the clip. because the camera angle changes when they see the fish in the sea but the camera is then underwater

also re watching it over cameron’s voice was abit loud compared to mine and Jacobs so i turned that down a little bit

Afterwards. i rematched the actual clip (with sound) to see if i missed anything.

we have pretty much everything the only thing i don’t have is a bang noise hitting the side of the bin. but i will just get a random loud sound and distort it a tad to make sure i have it in.

altogether we had enough time to do everything. You can find the full video here:

all the voicing is equaled and there are edited sound effects. i have made sure i done everything i put in the introduction.
